Chair Matt Hall confirmed the Board attendance noting that everyone was present.

    THAT: the April 15, 2025 Police Services Board Meeting Agenda be approved as circulated.

Mark Campbell, Chief of Police, was present to speak to the report and answer questions from members.

    THAT: the board receive report POL-2025-10 for information, and further;

    THAT: the board appoint Cst A. Fonville and Cst T. Gollob under Section 83(4) of the Community Safety and Policing Act.

    THAT: the board direct Dave Preston to develop the Diversity Plan and Board Policies for the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Board for the estimated amount of approximately $1500.

Councillor Brennan asked if we still have police patrols on bicycles occasionally.  Chief Campbell noted that there is an inventory of 4 bicycles and have made this offer available to any member who has an interest and will be pushing that this is an activity that we get more consistent at offering.

Member Haan wondered if there was any update at looking at the Mount Brydges site for the police services.  Chief Campbell advised he does not have an update today.

Chair Matt Hall reminded everyone that the OAPSB spring conference is coming up June 3-5th in London, ON and encourages everyone to try to go.

The Board moved into closed session to discuss the following:

  • One item in accordance with the Municipality's Procedure By-law (to approve In-Camera Meeting Minutes)
  • One item pursuant Section 44 (2)(b) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019, as amended, regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual, including members of the police service or any other employees of the board.
